THE BEST OF PRAGUE’S NEW PAINTERS IN LOS ANGELES

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, April 20, 2017 — Two artists acclaimed as the best contemporary painters in Prague will present new canvases at Knupp Gallery in downtown Los Angeles. The show kicks off on May 6, 2017 with a red-carpet reception at the gallery in cooperation with the consulate general of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles.
BETWEEN SPACES is a two man show featuring the newest work from the most acclaimed painters working today in Prague: Jan Uldrych and Tomas Spevak. Both painters are producing large, world-class imagery on canvases that equal the finest oil paintings produced anywhere in the world. With an advanced sense of European style and a bold punk-rock attitude, this intriguing new painting from Prague combines the highest levels of traditional craft with contemporary political themes, dystopian apocalyptic visions, mind-bending biomorphic fantasy, and magical invention.

BETWEEN SPACES will run May 6 – July 8th, 2017 with the gallery owner and artists in attendance periodically. During weekends in the regular opening hours.
